iphone vs android?

Posted on | June 14, 2010 | 2 Comments

We’ve been hearing a lot about competition between Apple and Google over the Smartphone. These statistics add some perspective, although they don’t add the trend lines. One trend line of course is that mobile penetration is still increasing. Another is that Android, Google’s new operating system for smart phones such as Motorola’s Droid and HTC’s Incredible, is being adapted faster than the others.

US Smartphone Market Share

35% RIM Blackberry
28% Apple iPhone
19% Windows Mobile
9% Android
4% Palm
3% Linux
2% Symbian

I’m normally not the guy to write my opinion on other’s sites, but for your post I just needed to do it. I’ve been searching in your blog a lot recently and I’m really impressed, I think you might really become a main opinions for your market. Not sure what your load is like in life, but if you began commiting more effort to writing on this site, I’d bet you would begin receiving a bunch of visitors eventually. With ads, it might become a sweet reserve revenue stream. Just something to think about. Good luck!
